This Just In —
There once was a baby from Queens.
He lacked strength and all self-esteem.
He bullied his way
to the White House they say
paving over the rose garden’s green.
Then the people erupted
Their lives were disrupted
By tariffs and cruelty and greed.
The baby complained
About news unrestrained
Insisting his wishes we heed.
And the people said NO
Off to protests we’ll go
This Saturday, No Kings Day again.
While the GOP cries
Using fear, threats and lies
We will stand together with friends.
The pressure does mount
Those Republicans can count
Lifting wet fingers in wind.
The demands are all clear
Rule of Law (what they fear)
Voting Rights, number one
Without those, we’re all done.
We needn’t agree
on everything, see?
Rule of law and ballots … that’s fair.
Together, we’re strong
Our traditions run long
Accustomed, we are, being free.
We’re not going to buckle
More likely, we’ll chuckle
While he wanders and blathers along.
We’ll get through this … for real
Cause he’s not from Nantucket
If he were we could tell him
That he can just … well, you know.
This Saturday (10/18/25) is yet another No Kings Demonstration Day. The turnout nationwide (perhaps world wide) is expected to be massive. Here in Orange County alone there are at least three sites where you can meetup with your neighbors, display your sign about the issue(s) you care about the most and make your voice heard.
