Golden Bachelor Mel Owens Picks His Final 3 Ahead of Hometowns

Season 2 Golden Bachelor Mel Owens is down to his final three.

The 66-year-old former NFL player (turned lawyer turned reality TV personality) handed out three roses on the Wednesday, October 15, episode of the ABC series, giving Peg, Debbie and Cindy coveted hometown dates.

“Your families, of course, are your biggest protectors and have your best interests at heart,” Mel said to the six remaining women before he started handing out roses. “So if you get a rose, we will be spending some significant and real time. I don’t take this decision lightly. It’s very important to me and I respect all of you.”

During Wednesday’s rose ceremony, Mel sent home Cheryl, who had said she was falling in love with Mel, and Nicolle, the infamous villain of the season who pitched herself for Golden Bachelorette on her limo exit. Carol, meanwhile, had self-eliminated earlier in the episode after deciding Mel wasn’t The One for her.

The Golden Bachelor airs on ABC Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET. Keep reading for more to know about the final three:
