PARKER, Colo (KDVR) - Douglas County deputies are investigating several home burglaries, and are now warning of potentially more cases.
The Douglas County Sheriff's Office said at least three homes were burglarized near Mainstreet and Chambers in Parker. In all incidents, windows in the back of the home were broken. Deputies did not say if anything was stolen.
"Studies have shown that when a burglary occurs, homes in the area are at a much higher risk for burglary over the next several weeks," DCSO said in a social media post. "Whether you live in this area or not, please make sure to keep all windows and doors locked even if you are home."
DCSO is asking for residents to check surveillance cameras for any suspicious vehicles, people, or circumstances on Oct. 11 between 7 and 8 p.m. or on Oct. 13 between 4:30 and 9:30 p.m.
Anyone with footage or information that may assist with the police's investigation is asked to contact Det. Donovan Cogil at [email protected].
