ROCHESTER, N.Y – High pressure continues to hang overhead, keeping our weather quiet and a bit cool through the end of the work week. We may see some some frost away from Lake Ontario. Frost Advisories are posted for Genesee, Wyoming and Livingston Counties Thursday morning. The growing season is quickly coming to an end, for those who haven’t already seen a killing frost or freeze.
Friday will see sunshine to start, but an approaching warm front will tend to bring in more clouds through the afternoon. There’s the slight chance of a shower or two with that front, but most of us should remain dry.
The weekend will be turning much warmer, with highs in the upper 60s and lower 70s both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday will be the better weekend day with a slight chance of a shower, but most of the day should be dry. Sunday will turn breezy with showers likely. The timing of when the rain moves back in is still in flux, so check back if you have outdoor plans that you need to plan around the weather.
Winds will begin to ramp up as temperatures fall on Monday following a cold front. Showers will be likely off and on Monday. Overall, next week appears to be a bit cool and unsettled with an upper level low lingering overhead.
