More than two decades after Boy Meets World ended, William Daniels reflected on the lasting impact of his role as Mr. Feeny.
Back in March, Daniels, 98, looked back on the iconic role while speaking to People. "I'm very aware of the respect people have for my character, George Feeny. I hear it at conventions, in Cameo requests," he told the outlet at the time. "So I hope to use that authority as a teacher and mentor to help protect young people."
Daniels starred as Mr. Feeny on all seven seasons of Boy Meets World. The character was the next door neighbor of the Matthews family, while he was also their high school teacher and continued to teach the main cast when they went to college in the later seasons.
Also during his interview with People, Daniels reflected on his lengthy acting career. "Well, you have to be pleased, and I certainly am," he said. "And I hope I'm around a little longer, and we'll do it again next year."

Not only does he have a soft spot in his heart for Boy Meets World, but Daniels has also remained closed with many of his former co-stars. Danielle Fishel, who played Topanga Lawrence for the entirety of the show, even announced he would attend the Tuesday, October 14, taping of Dancing With the Starsto watch her perform a dance dedicated to him.
"Mr. Feeny himself is going to be on the ballroom floor with me," she previously said.
Fishel, 44, went on to explain she and her partner, Pasha Pashkov, "are going to dance a jive, and Bill is going to be on the ballroom floor with us, and he's going to participate in the dance as well."
In addition to dedicating the dance to Daniels, she also shared that she would be performing to the "Boy Meets World theme song."
Fishel also gave a glimpse into her relationship with Daniels, saying he is "such an inspiration to so many of us."
"And to be able to say thank you to him and give him this kind of a platform for him to receive the love that he deserves is going to be very memorable. So I'm very, very excited about that," she continued ahead of the performance. "I can't wait."
