Mariel Hemingway, 63, Is Aging Like a Fine Wine in Sunset Selfie

Mariel Hemingway has finally found peace, and you can tell.

The actress and granddaughter of Ernest Hemingway, 63, rose to stardom with breakout roles in Lipstick and Manhattan during the '70s. She played Woody Allen's teenage ingenue in that film, which co-starred film icon Diane Keaton. She went on to several other acclaimed film roles and became a TV staple in the '90s. Now, she's known as a holistic living expert and memoirist.

In a stunning new Instagram post, Hemingway showed followers her natural beauty as she stood in front of a sunset. With her blond hair sitting on her shoulders, Hemingway smiled for the camera.

"We’ve all chased countless techniques, therapies, and meditations, thinking we need more to be whole. But what if we simplify, weaving the wisdom we already hold into our lives? By embracing our unique style and voice, we find peace and flow authentically. Look at Diane Keaton, her wild, untouchable style and infectious humor were a masterclass in turning troubles into strengths! She was a riot, showing us how to shine as only we can," Hemingway captioned the post. "Every woman, every human, has a distinct path to self-love. For me, it’s about letting go of the trauma of past stories, opening to abundance, and truly loving who I am. Your path is uniquely yours. Trust your inner knowing; it’s always been there."

In the second and third shots, Hemingway can be seen working out with a kettlebell.

    She's a Mental Health Advocate

Hemingway has had significant struggles with her own mental health over the years. She's also lost several family members. Seven members of the Hemingway family have died by suicide, including her sister MargauxHemingway, she revealed in the 2013 documentary film Running from Crazy.

"I grew up in a generation, we didn't talk. I mean my family was like, 'We don't talk about those problems,'" Hemingway said in a 2021 interview. "I have a sister who suffers from mental illness and it was never spoken about, never, and it was never like that was the problem."

Hemingway is grateful that things have changed in recent years.

"Fifteen, 20 years ago when I sort of started speaking, it was way more shrouded in like taboo, we don't talk about this. I've had massive depression. I had suicidal ideation. It was years ago. I came from such a shamed place about it," she explained. "What's wonderful is the more people who tell their story, the more people who feel as though they're being heard and understood, the more solutions that can come from that because I'm a big believer that there's not one solution to mental health issues."
