ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Boys & Girls Club of Rochester is teaming up to provide food and other essentials to nearly 400 local families facing food insecurity.
Price Rite Marketplace and Feed the Children are helping with the initiative. Each family will get a 25-pound box of food, a 15-pound box of personal care items, and backpacks filled with school supplies. They’ll also get Price Rite gift cards.
Volunteers will distribute the food and supplies on Tuesday morning. One in five children in the U.S. face food insecurity. Since Feed the Children and Price Rite began partnering over a decade ago, they’ve donated nearly four million pounds of food across the country.
