The 79-year-old movie star took to Instagram on Oct. 13, posting a photo of someone who was likely her elegantly jumping on the beach amid a beautiful sunset. In the caption, she shared a succinct yet poignant message as she told fans, "Let it go today. Feel joy ?."
Hawn also posted the image and message on the account of her nonprofit organization, The Goldie Hawn Foundation, which runs a program called MindUP focusing on educating people about how to improve their mental and emotional health.

Revealing a special promise the two women had, Hawn went on, "We agreed to grow old together, and one day, maybe live together with all our girlfriends. Well, we never got to live together, but we did grow older together."

Soon after Hawn uploaded the post, fans praised the tribute and thanked her for sharing such a personal message.
Keaton was 79 years old at the time of her death, the same age as Hawn. The two women were very close over the years, starring in two films together, The First Wives Club and Town & Country.
