THE Duggar sisters reunited in Texas, including a few that fans rarely saw off their time on the TV.
The family, best known for their time spent on ’19 Kids and Counting’, graced the screens of TLC for over almost a decade before calling it quits in 2015.
But since their time on the show, fans haven’t seen much from the younger family members online, as many will have been too young to be using social media.
Yesterday Joy (one of the sisters) posted a reel to her Instagram profile though, featuring four of the lesser-seen sisters: Josie, 15, Jordyn-Grace, 16, Jennifer, 18, and Johannah, 19.
In the video, the sisters are standing in a line by some beautiful architecture.
They pass the phone down the line, each smiling at the camera and having their moment.
Joy captioned the video: “Back together again (well…almost),” noting that Jana is missing and couldn’t be there.
Joy also noted how Kendra, one of their sisters-in-law, is also part of the get-together, totalling eight of the sisters excluding Kendra.
The other eleven siblings, including nine brothers and a stillborn sister, weren’t present in the video.
Despite the get-together being a rare one for the public to see, fans of the Duggar sisters were unable to leave a comment on the Instagram post as Joy set them to ‘restricted’.
Parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar decided they wanted all members of their supersized conservative Christian family to begin with the letter J.
Their whole family’s names are: Josh, Jana, John-David, Jill, Jessa, Jinger, Joseph, Josiah, Joy-Anna, Jedidiah, Jeremiah, Jason, James, Justin, Jackson, Johannah, Jennifer, Jordyn-Grace and Josie.
’19 Kids and Counting’ became an instant hit, accumulating nine seasons on air.
However the fame rapidly began to wind down in 2015 after news broke that Josh Duggar had allegedly molested five underage girls during his teens.
He was the family’s oldest sibling.
It was revealed that four of these victims were his sisters, and that both of his parents were aware that it had happened.
TLC cancelled the program after news of the molestation scandal broke.
The Duggar girls continued to make appearances on TV until 2021 on a spinoff show called Counting On.
The show ran for eleven seasons over the six years.
But TLC pulled the plug on this program too when Josh was arrested on child pornography charges in 2021.
