BUFFALO, N.Y. — Paychex founder Tom Golisano is buying the Buffalo News building in Buffalo.
News10NBC’s Buffalo affiliate WGRZ reports that according to paperwork filed with the Erie County Clerk’s Office, the building was sold by Douglas Jemal for $10 million.
What does Golisano plan to do with it? Perhaps, he might expand his Rochester-based Golisano Institute for Business and Entrepreneurship.
A spokesperson from the institute told our affiliate that Golisano “remains committed to supporting entrepreneurship and expanding business opportunities in Western New York,” and that Golisano “looks forward to sharing more soon about upcoming plans in Buffalo.”
Earlier this year, Golisano also donated $50 million to John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital in Buffalo, which will be renamed Golisano Children’s Hospital of Buffalo in January.
