ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A protest is being held in Rochester Friday afternoon against cuts to healthcare programs.

From 4-6 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Mount Hope and Elmwood Avenue, people plan to protest the cuts to Medicaid, Medicare, and the affordable care act.

    As News10NBC has covered, many healthcare insurance companies are getting rid of Medicare Advantage plans for 2026.

    A spokeswoman from Excellus Blue Cross Blue Shield previously told News10NBC that rising health care costs “continue to put pressure on Medicare Advantage plans.”
