Jinger and Jeremy married in 2016 and share three children: Felicity, 6, Evangeline, 4, and Finnegan, 6 months. Their courtship, engagement and wedding were featured in TLC's Counting On; additionally, Jinger appeared on the network's show, 19 Kids and Counting, alongside her parents, Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar, and her 18 siblings.

During the podcast, Jeremy shared, "The other week, we talked about how I slipped down some wet tiled stairs [while] holding Felicity and what I thought could have been broken, it's been confirmed. My fourth metacarpal on my left hand is smashed."

Later in their conversation, Jinger detailed Jeremy's accident, explaining, "We were at a fairgrounds when it happened. It was one of those accidents that you protected her head, and I think that's why you landed so weird—because you put your left hand down, and she was in your right arm. And when you landed, you just crushed it."

She then pointed out, "You saved her head, though. That's all that matters."

At a different point during the episode, Jeremy said, "This was really funny," as he pulled out his phone to show a photo of an X-ray of his hand. Jinger interjected, "It's insane."

Jeremy then recalled being confused at the doctor's office because Jinger had set up an appointment for him with a general practitioner so that he could get a referral to a hand specialist. But he thought he was meeting with a hand specialist. So, Jeremy was confused when the GP pulled out a medical textbook and started explaining what she thought was wrong with his hand.

"I'm like, 'I can't believe this. I'm at a hand specialist who doesn't know how to read an X-ray of a hand or tell me what's wrong,'" he recalled. "I'm just flabbergasted."

Ultimately, Jeremy did see a hand specialist and got a cast, which he needs to wear for six weeks. It was the first time he had ever broken a bone or needed a cast.

Jeremy admitted he had no idea he had broken his hand for about a week, sharing, "I had mobility, and it didn't hurt. Like, I wasn't wincing through the day."

To that, Jinger pointed out, "He didn't have a knuckle on his hand," and Jeremy conceded, "Yeah, that knuckle disappeared."

He added, "It's fractured pretty bad. And I made the joke to the X-ray tech, I was like, 'Oh, is it a hairline fracture?' He goes, 'Uh, no.'"

Hopefully, Jeremy's hand recovery goes smoothly!
