A Delectable New Energy Drink Line Is Starting to Appear on Shelves–Heres What We Know

A new energy drink is popping up on the market and it's actually the result of an ongoing partnership between two iconic drink brands–so it has to be good, right?

The energy drink market has grown significantly in recent years and it’s not expected to slow down anytime soon. Current projections estimate that it will be worth around $33 billion by 2030, and this latest innovation from Jumex and AriZona Beverages is poised to be part of the surge.

On Thursday, the leading Mexican beverage company, you know the one found in the "little blue can," revealed it developed a new energy drink with AriZona using its iconic fruit nectar because it's what "consumers want."

"At Jumex, we pay close attention to what our consumers want, and Jumex Energy is a direct reflection of that—vibrant, flavorful, and full of energy," Salvi Folch, CEO of Grupo Jumex, shared in a statement. "We are proud to continue growing our partnership with AriZona and to offer a product that delivers great taste and functionality to hardworking people who want a reliable energy source to power them through the day."

Jumex's New Energy Drinks: Debut Flavors, Ingredients

Each 15-ounce energy fruit nectar beverage features 150 mg of caffeine, along with several vitamins like Vitamin C, B5, B6, and B12, as well as a “performance blend” to help provide energy and focus support. It includes a mix of taurine, guarana, and ginseng.

Jumex Energy Drinks aren’t flat. They pack a slight fizz and are described as being lightly carbonated. The new line is debuting in two fruity flavors, Mango and Strawberry.

The new Jumex EnergyTM line debuts with Mango and Strawberry flavors.

Jumex loyalists know this isn’t the first time it has launched a natural caffeine beverage. That said, this doesn’t appear to be a rebranded Jumex XOT Energy drink, but rather a totally new beverage line that’s slightly higher in caffeine.

Those who’ve been among the first to try it seem to agree that the beverages–both made with fruit juice–are not the same. One even took to Reddit two weeks ago, begging for more information on the new product because they “need a lifetime supply” of it and called it the “most delectable” liquid.

Another fan snapped a pic of the item and shared it on Facebook, saying it “doesn’t hit like Ghost or C4,” presumably because it has about half the caffeine content. “But it definitely was good,” they added.

This also isn't the first time Jumex has worked with AriZona Beverage company on collaboration, and should history repeat itself and all go well, it likely won't be the last we hear of this dynamic duo.

"Our collaboration with Grupo Jumex has been a story of shared values and innovation. After the success of Jumex Hard, we're thrilled to expand our partnership into the energy category with Jumex Energy," AriZona Beverages' CEO Abid Rizv said in an Oct. 9 statement, adding that "the partnership offers a functional product with real ingredients and great taste."

    Jumex Energy: Where to Buy

Those looking to try the fruit-forward energy drink are instructed to keep an eye out at local convenience store retailers, grocery stores, and wherever other Jumex or AriZona products are sold, as the new drinks are expected to be available now (if not in the coming weeks). Fans can also shop multipacks of Strawberry, Mango, or mixed packs via the official AriZona website ($24.99 for a pack of 12).
