Thanks to its latest standout Princess Sun, Princess Cruise earned top honors in the luxury travel mag's 2025 Readers' Choice Awards Favorite Mega Ships category, earning the highest score and beating out Norwegian Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean and MSC Cruises:

With their very first entry into the category, the famed "Love Boat" line has reigned supreme. The 4,300-passenger 2024 Sun Princess is Princess' largest ship to date, but its twin Star Princess is set to debut in November.
Sun Princess has been called one of the world's foodiest ships, with more than 30 dining and drinking venues, celeb-chef collabs and fun, foodie entertainment, like its Spellbound by Magic Castle craft cocktail and magic experience.
Sailing Mediterranean itineraries in the summer and Caribbean sailings in the winter, the world's largest Love Boat sails out of Barcelona and Fort Lauderdale.
Sun Princess has earned design accolades for its all-glass geodesic dome at the top of the ship, central, light-filled Piazza and Princess arena with Broadway-style shows.
It's the second year the ship has earned the top honor.

Other Mega Ships Earning Top Marks
Taking the number two spot in the 4,000+ passenger category was European Line MSC Cruises. It has many megaships in its fleet, across three separate ship classes, including the large Fantasia Class ships (MSC Divina, MSC Preziosa) and the newer, even larger Meraviglia Plus Class ships such as MSC Virtuosa and MSC Grandiosa. The World Class ships like MSC World America and MSC World Europa are MSC's largest, carrying over 6,700 guests.
Norwegian Cruise Line earned the number three spot with its large-size Norwegian Encore, Bliss, Joy and Escape, and the newer Aqua and Luna, which are part of the Prima Plus Class. Fans have praised the line for its blend of luxury and thrilling activities. Fans also love its relaxed "freestyle cruising" packages, which allow guests greater flexibility and varied dining and entertainment choices.
Not to be outdone by Royal Caribbean's "biggest in the world" Icon Class series of ships, including Icon of the Seas, Star of the Seas and upcoming Legend of the Seas, Norwegian has placed an order with Fincantieri Monfalcone shipyard to build four 8,000+ passenger ships to arrive between 2030 and 2036.
