Taking to Instagram, Hughes shared two different posts to debut her new look. Hughes posted a video of her at the hair salon, revealing that she was making a major change to her style.
In the footage, General Hospital fans see that she decided to cut her long brown locks into a shag with sweeping bangs. Hughes has the camera rolling as her stylist does her thing to transform her hair, while the song "Harden My Heart" by Quarterflash plays in the background.
The final result was stunning, and the actress was very pleased with how her hair turned out.
“I was so excited to meet @jayne_edosalon I’ve been following her work for about a year and really wanted a cool shag and Jayne killed it!! So excited to have a fresh new look! Jayne, loved meeting you, such a great morning. Thank you for caring so much about your clients and really listening and spending time with us! I love it ????,” read the caption on her video.

Hughes later shared another IG post to give fans a close-up of her shag 'do. The social media share included two photos: one picture featured the soap icon with her hair done nicely, while the other showed Hughes barefaced and makeup-free to show her new look in a messier fashion.
