Wolves transfer targets January 2026

One player reportedly on Wolves' wish list is the former Liverpool winger and midfielder, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. The Englishman moved to Besiktas when his contract on Merseyside expired in 2023.

Alberto, had a stellar 2024, scoring 24 goals and assisting a further six goals in 39 appearances in the Brazilian Serie A and Copa Sudamericana.

Wolves tried to sign the Brazilian last January, according to some sources, but given his £20m asking price and their already well-stocked attacking options, they chose to prioritise reinforcements at the back and in midfield.

Wolves’ January plans could include centre-forward Mihailo Ivanovic, it seems. The starlet definitely has a bright future in front of him, as he managed to score 12 goals in 37 Championship matches for the Lions during the 2024/25 campaign.

Patrik Mercado (Independiente)

According to Bolavip, Wolves are interested in signing Independiente midfielder Patrik Mercado. The club's representatives have presented their project to him, and he could be available in January for the right price.

According to Ficherio, Wolves are being tipped to rekindle their interest in £9m-rated Real Betis prospect Pablo Garcia in January.

Wallace Yan (Flamengo)

According to Brazilian news outlet Fanaticos, Wolves, as well as Crystal Palace, Benfica and Porto, are pursuing Flamengo ace Wallace Yan ahead of January. He has a £51m release clause, but could leave for less.
