Taking to Instagram, Vaughan shared a short video to express his gratitude for the positive response to his landing a job on Beyond the Gates. The actor has major respect for the fans, and how they are embracing him being part of the show.
“I'm grateful to all those who have embraced me and shown excitement for me for joining Beyond the Gates. That passion is what keeps daytime alive,” he expressed.
Vaughan is a firm believer that good storytelling can bring people from all walks of life together. It’s one reason he’s thrilled to be on Beyond the Gates, because the stories on the show do just that.
“Beyond the Gates was created to tell stories that are layered and diverse, that are human, deeply human, and that's exactly what drew me in. I'm joining Beyond the Gates in a world that celebrates representation that has heart and speaks truth in so many layers, and I'm here to honor that foundation, not replace it,” the soap star spilled.
The Days of Our Lives alum again reiterated how grateful he is to be part of a show like Beyond the Gates. Vaughan gave a shout-out to the cast and crew for giving him such a warm welcome.
“I'm excited for all the fans who have been behind me and supported me over decades, and from daytime, Y&R to General Hospital to Days of Our Lives, from my prime time, Charmed, Malibu Shores, 90210, and Queen Sugar. This is a new character for me, a new adventure, which I am greatly excited about and embrace. And I hope that you, in time, will embrace me as a part of your family. I love you and thank you from my heart to you,” Vaughan ended his Instagram video.
The actor also shared an X that gave a special shout-out to Beyond the Gates creator Michele Val Jean, which also reiterated the honor he feels for getting to join the show.
