The singer and actress, who rose to stardom as a member of The Mamas and Papas back in the '60s, is still going strong these days. After her music career came to an end, the stunner became a thriving actress, with roles on Knots Landing and Beverly Hills, 90210. These days, Phillips is laying low, enjoying the quiet life in Los Angeles. That means plenty of time with her famous daughter, Chynna Phillips, 57. Chynna earned plenty of acclaim of her own as a member of pop trio Wilson Phillips, known for hits like "Hold On."
This week, Chynna took to Instagram to share a sweet photo of herself and her mother smiling out in the sunshine.

Back in 2021, Michelle explained that she wasn't crazy about the idea of Chynna getting into the music and acting business. However, she knew her daughter was extremely talented.
"I did try and discourage her from getting involved in the record business. I didn’t let her work until she was 18," Phillips told Closer. "[By then] she was mature enough to know how to pick an acting part and how to manage her singing career. I certainly wasn’t going to become her manager. I think she’s done a really great job."
Chynna Reunited With Her Half-Sister, Mackenzie Phillips
Back in July, Chynna Phillips reunited with her half-sister, Mackenzie Phillips, after the duo attended Beach Boys legend Brian Wilson's memorial. Chynna's former Wilson Phillips bandmate, Carnie Wilson, is the daughter of the legendary musician.
“Brian Wilson’s memorial was staggeringly beautiful,” Chynna captioned the pic, which is featured in a carousel of photos. “Wonderful to spend time with good friends and loved ones.”
