    The Tennessee trio is particularly historic, marking In-N-Out’s first-ever restaurants east of Texas. It’s a big move, but not exactly a surprise. In January 2023, the company announced plans to build an Eastern territory office in Franklin, Tennessee and open local restaurants by 2026.

I have no doubt that my grandparents, dad and uncle would be proud of this decision to grow our Associate family and serve even more amazing Customers beginning in Nashville and the surrounding areas.”

    For decades, In-N-Out has grown slowly and deliberately, expanding only where it can keep its promise of serving food that’s fresh, never frozen. “Our ingredients are delivered fresh to our stores,” the company’s site says. “We don’t even own a microwave or freezer... We make every burger one at a time, cooked fresh to order.” That commitment to freshness means every new region requires its own supply network. Until now, that’s kept In-N-Out close to its Southern California roots.
