In a pair of Instagram Stories, Johnson gave fans the scoop on what had happened. In her first video, she included text that read, "Wanna preface this by saying everything's fine now and thank goodness Rome is home sleeping."
Johnson added, "But this was our night last night." The video she uploaded showed her with Chmerkovskiy and their son in a hospital room. She was on the bed with Rome, who was lying on top of her, and he had an oxygen mask over his face.
Rome looked a bit distressed in the short clip that Johnson posted, and she looked understandably stressed. She also swung over to include Chmerkovskiy, who sat in a chair next to the hospital bed.

Chmerkovskiy reshared one of Johnson's Instagram Stories and then uploaded a video of his own. "Had quite an eventful evening last night," he began.
He explained, "Had to take Rome to the hospital, but all is good." Chmerkovskiy acknowledged that he had too little sleep as a result, but added he was excited for "Disney Night." He is partnered with TikTok star Alix Earle for season 34.
An additional video Chmerkovskiy posted was difficult to decipher, but it sounded as if it was likely the family on their way back home after their time in the hospital. It was dark, and they were in a car, and listeners could hear what sounded like a little kid happily chatting.
