(KRON) -- A man who was found shot to death on a Santa Rosa street Friday morning has been identified by the Sonoma County Coroner’s Office as Mark Calcagni, 60, of Santa Rosa.
At 6:25 a.m. on Friday, the Santa Rosa Police Department received a report of an unresponsive man lying in the bike lane of Brookwood Avenue near Birdsfoot Way. Arriving officers found Calcagni deceased from a gunshot wound.
No suspects in the homicide have been identified by authorities. According to police, the firearm used to shoot Calcagni has not been found.
“Though any time a suspect of a violent crime remains at large it presents a potential risk, we do not believe there is an ongoing threat to public safety,” Santa Rosa PD said.
