Even before the start of the transfer window, Spurs ensured the signing of Kevin Danso on a permanent deal. The 26-year-old defender has been at Tottenham since February on loan, but the loan included an obligation to buy for £21m, which is a nice chunk of change for Lens.

The London club had a few issues with injuries at centre-back, with both Radu Dragusin and Cristian Romero out at one point, which is why Spurs needed someone to fill in the cracks immediately. Mathys Tel joined Tottenham on a permanent deal, having spent the second half of last season on loan from Bayern Munich. The fee was thought to be £30m, and he has signed until 2031.

Tel did not exactly set the world alight in North London, scoring just three goals in 20 appearances during the second half of the 2024/25 campaign. However, he does provide another handy attacking option, and will only get better given his young age.

Tel also made the headlines by not being named in Spurs' UCL squad by new head coach Thomas Frank. However, he has not let that get to him, as he scored a crucial goal in a 2-1 win against Leeds at Elland Road in the Premier League just before the October international break.

Max McFadden (Leeds)

Max McFadden signed for Tottenham on a free transfer after his contract expired at fellow Premier League rivals Leeds in the summer transfer window. The 19-year-old attacking midfielder has initially joined the U21s squad, and has penned a deal at North London until 2027.

McFadden is a player for the future, and so Spurs will feel that it is quite the coup to sign him for free. Should he impress at youth level, he could even break into the first-team squad under Frank.

Kota Takai also signed for Tottenham for a reported transfer fee of £5m. The Japan international joined from J1 League side Kawasaki Frontale, with a deal that will run until 2030.

Again, Takai seems like a player who will not make an immediate impact in the first team, but is one for the future. The 20-year-old boasts plenty of experience at a high level for his age though, and could provide useful cover for Tottenham's more experienced defenders.

Mohammed Kudus (West Ham)

Tottenham and West Ham rarely do business with each other because of their rivalry, but Spurs sealed quite the coup by signing Mohammed Kudus from the Hammers. The Ghana international attacker joined for a reported £55m.

Kudus signing grade: A

Kudus was undoubtedly Tottenham's standout signing of the summer transfer window. He is proven in the Premier League, and boasts elite technical ability that will help the Lilywhites unlock doors on the pitch.

Kudus impressed on his debut as well, picking up a total of two assists as Spurs ultimately ran out 3-0 winners against newly-promoted Burnley at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on the opening weekend of the new 2025/26 Premier League season. He has also picked up plenty more assists, and like fellow new signing Tel, also netted in Spurs' 2-1 victory against Leeds at Elland Road in the Premier League just before the October international break.

Spurs also signed Joao Palhinha on loan from reigning Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich for the rest of the 2025/26 campaign. The Portugal international has been screening the middle of the park in the defensive midfield position.

Palhinha signing grade: A

Tottenham signed a real anchor in their midfield in Palhinha, who should be able to thrive in new head coach Frank's system. He also boasts experience in the Premier League, already having been so impressive at fellow London rivals Fulham before joining Bayern in last summer's transfer window, and so has been able to settle in fairly quickly in his new home in North London.

Palhinha has also contributed goals already, showing him to be a complete all-round midfielder.

Randal Kolo Muani (PSG)

Randal Kolo Muani joined Tottenham on loan until the end of the season. Muani was signed by PSG for big money just two years ago, but failed to establish himself as a regular in Paris.

However, there is still plenty of talent there, and he could find his feet in the Premier League.

Xavi Simons (RB Leipzig)

After losing out on Eberechi Eze to Arsenal, Spurs did their own gazumping when they stole Xavi Simons under the noses of Chelsea. The Dutch forward signed for Spurs for £51m and is seen as a direct replacement for club legend Son Heung-Min, who joined Los Angeles FC.
