Taylor Swift is finally debunking all those rumors that she turned down the opportunity to perform at Super Bowl LX in 2026.
The pop superstar revealed exactly what was going on during an appearance on The Tonight Show on Monday (Oct. 6) explaining that she just didn't feel right even considering the opportunity when her fiancé Travis Kelce could also be on the field.
In a lengthy explanation, Swift shared that her team has previously talked with Jay Z — who owns Roc Nation and is involved in the Halftime show artist selection — but she hasn't received an official offer.
"Jay Z has always been very good to me. Our teams are very close. They sometimes will call and say how does she feel about, you know, and that's not an official offer or a conference room conversation," Swift said on the show.
She went on to explain that they are always able to "tell him the truth" which is that she is "in love with a guy who does that sport on that actual field."

"That is violent chess. That is gladiators without swords. That is dangerous," Swift said, reflecting on how stressful it is to watch Kelce on the field. "The whole season I am locked in on what that man is doing on the field."
She continued, "Can you imagine if he's out there every single week putting his life on the line, doing this very dangerous, very high-pressure, high-intensity sport, and I'm like, 'I wonder what my choreo should be? I think we should do two verses of 'Shake it Off' into 'Blank Space' into 'Cruel Summer' would be great.'"
While Swift stressed that it had "nothing to do with Travis" because "he would love for [her] to do it," she admits that she's "just too locked in" during the season.
While Swift seems sure she won't be taking the stage at the Super Bowl Halftime show while Kelce is still playing, she didn't mention her thoughts about a performance once he's retired!
