Starbucks Red Cup Day 2025 Is Officially Happening

On Monday, Oct. 6, Starbucks confirmed in a news release that Red Cup Day 2025 would be happening. The unofficial "holiday" for the beloved coffee chain offers a plastic, collectible red cup with a different design featured on it each year.

The catch? Many Starbucks locations tend to run out of their Red Cup Day cups quickly, and the freebies are only available while supplies last. So fans will want to make sure they plan ahead and get in line early in order to snag their own 2025 tumbler on Red Cup Day.

As of writing, Starbucks has not announced the date for Red Cup Day 2025. But we have an educated guess of when it might be, based on the timing of the promotion for past years.

Red Cup Day in 2024 was on Thursday, Nov. 14. In 2023, it was on Thursday, Nov. 16. Similarly, Red Cup Day happened on Thursday, Nov. 17, 2022, and Thursday, Nov. 18, 2021.

If Red Cup Day follows this same pattern for 2025, then Starbucks lovers should mark their calendars for Thursday, Nov. 13, 2025. The coffee chain could also opt for a slightly later release date on Thursday, Nov. 20. (Folks in the Starbucks subreddit agree that those dates are the most likely, too.)

Hopefully, Starbucks makes an announcement soon about the Red Cup Day 2025 so fans can mark their calendars.

Starbucks' 2025 Holiday Menu Returns on Nov. 6

For those craving holiday joy in the form of a tasty beverage or treat, Starbucks' 2025 holiday menu will officially roll out on Nov. 6.

Holiday drinks include: Peppermint Mocha, Caramel Brulée Latte, Iced Sugar Cookie Latte and Iced Gingerbread Chai. Later in the season, Starbucks will add its Chestnut Praline Latte and its Eggnog Latte to the lineup as well.

Food-wise, Starbucks customers can look forward to the Snowman Cookie, Cranberry Bliss Bar, Sugar Plum Cheese Danish, Polar Bear Cake Pop and Cinnamon Pull-Apart Bread.

At-home coffee will get a festive upgrade, too, as customers can purchase bags of Starbucks Thanksgiving Blend, Christmas Blend (also in decaf), Christmas Blonde Roast and Holiday Blend. Plus, Starbucks is dropping an adorable line of holiday cups and tumblers that will surely be flying off shelves.

In other news, Starbucks is bringing back a fan-favorite fall drink after fans expressed outrage online: the Apple Crisp Oatmilk Shaken Espresso. The beverage will return to stores on Oct. 14, alongside Apple Crisp Cold Foam and Protein Cold Foam.
