Director Paul Greengrass is no stranger to making films about traumatic real-world events – with his previous work having covered everything from the Bloody Sunday shootings in Northern Ireland and the September 11 attacks to the Maersk Alabama hijacking and the 2011 Norway terror attacks.
For his latest film – The Lost Bus – Greengrass has turned his attention to the Camp Fire in Northern California's Butte County, one of the deadliest wildfires in history which killed claimed 85 lives over the span of 17 days in 2018.
The film was described by producer and Hollywood legend Jamie Lee Curtis as the most important thing she'll ever make, and stars Matthew McConaughey as Kevin McKay, a bus driver whose heroics saved the lives of a classroom in children amid the carnage.
