Jam Miller sent a major reminder to the rest of college football with his 136-yard effort in Alabama‘s win over Vanderbilt on Saturday.
That performance broke a major drought, as it was the first time an Alabama running back went over the 100-yard mark in SEC play since Jase McClellan did so in 2023. Josh Pate pointed out that fact on Sunday evening.
Jam Miller is the first Alabama RB to top 100 rushing yards in SEC play since Jase McClellan in 2023
— Josh Pate (@JoshPateCFB) October 5, 2025Miller was close to the 100-yard threshold last season against Auburn as he finished with 84 yards in that contest.
The ground game has been an issue this season, but not having Miller out there for much of the year played a huge role in that. Miller made his season debut against Georgia after missing the first few games due to an injury he suffered in fall camp.
The Crimson Tide will hope that Miller can build off that performance in Week 7 when they travel to Columbia to take on the undefeated Missouri Tigers.
