Argentina international Angel Correa had a run-in with a bear whilst carrying his daughter in Mexico.
The World Cup winner had been with his family near their home in Monterrey.
Correa has been based in the city since July after joining Tigres UANL from Atletico Madrid.
However, Correa was forced to flee after the wild animal ran towards him.
He had been carrying his youngest daughter at the time, with the terrifying moment caught on camera by his wife Sabrina Di Marco.
She shared her video of the interaction to social media as Correa and his two-year-old daughter Lia were approached by the bear.
They can be seen on the street outside their home when the animal walks towards them.
Correa grabbed Lia tightly as he ran back from the bear before realising it had no intention of attacking the pair.
The 30-year-old was able to let out a wry smile towards his wife, whilst Lia appeared unfazed by the incident.
Sharing the footage to Instagram, Sabrina wrote: “Someone came to visit us,” with a bear emoji.
He is not the only footballer to have an interaction with a wild bear in the area.
Former Manchester City defender Martin Demichelis was previously involved in an encounter with a bear last year whilst managing Monterrey.

Despite that form, he was not involved in Argentina’s final two World Cup qualifiers in September.
The defending champions had already booked their spot at next summer’s finals in Canada, Mexico and the USA.
