The Boulder County Sheriff is asking for the public’s help in identifying three motorcyclists who police say were involved in a road rage shooting late Saturday southwest of Boulder.
Around 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Boulder police met a man at Boulder Fire Rescue Station 2, at Broadway and Baseline. The man told police he had been shot at while driving between the 3800 and 6000 blocks of Flagstaff Road following a road rage interaction with three motorcyclists, according to a Boulder County news release. The three motorcyclists stopped following the driver after the shooting and had last been seen heading west on Flagstaff Road, the release states.
While officers were speaking with the man at the fire station, the man pointed out the three motorcycles passing by. Police began pursuing the group, but the motorcycles evaded law enforcement as the pursuit continued into Broomfield near the Flatirons Mall at West Flatirons Crossing, according to the release.
Prior to the shooting, the motorcyclists were seen meeting with a vehicle of interest at Panorama Point, near the 100 block of Flagstaff Road. The release does not give a description of the vehicle of interest.
