Lebanese singer Fadel Shaker surrendered himself to the Lebanese Army on Saturday in the south, at the entrance to the Ain al-Hilweh camp, Lebanese news agencies revealed.
A force from the Army Intelligence was dispatched to the entrance of the camp to receive him, transporting him to Zgheib military barracks in Sidon and later to Beirut.
Lebanese reports revealed that officials in the Defense Ministry coordinated, through intermediaries, the extradition of Shaker from Ain al-Hilweh.
Shaker chose to disappear from public view in 2013, following the events in Abra, east of Sidon.
An arrest warrant was issued against Shaker at the time due to a video that was published of him.
