ROCHESTER, N.Y. — It’s the day Swifties have been waiting for. Taylor Swift released her 12th album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” on Friday at midnight.
The Target at Marketplace Drive in Henrietta was among the select stores around the nation that stayed open for the midnight release, selling an exclusive vinyl and three exclusive CDs with a poster. We spoke with some Swifties, who said the midnight release is a great way to connect with the community that Taylor Swift’s music has built. We also spoke with the sister of soccer legend Abby Wambach, who picked up the album with her daughter.
“Yeah, we’re both fans. We went and saw her on the Eras Tour and I just think she’s a great role model,” Laura Wambach said.
