The Carrboro Police Department is turning to the public for help in finding a person reported missing and who is potentially endangered.
The town government issued an alert at 4:17 p.m. on Thursday saying authorities are seeking Kent Kurosawa, who was last seen on Wednesday morning at his residence in Carrboro. The message said Kurosawa “is believed to be suffering from a cognitive impairment” and may be using his blue mountain bike.
Carrboro investigators described Kurosawa – for whom they did not provide an age – as a 5-foot-3 Asian male weighing 150 to 160 pounds. An undated photo provided shows him with shoulder-length dark brown hair.

The Carrboro Police Department recommends anyone who encounters Kurosawa to call 911 or another local law enforcement agency. Community members who may have with information on his location and wellbeing are encouraged to call (919-918-7417) or email Sergeant Armstrong with the department directly, or call the department’s phone number at 919-918-7397.
