Nina Dobrev is finally addressing rumors she's dating Zac Efron.
Shortly after news broke of her split from fiancée Shaun White, Dobrev was spotted on a luxury yacht in Italy with famous friends — including Efron. The group on the boat included two couples: Miles & Keleigh Teller and Chase Crawford & Kelsey Merritt. Dobrev and Efron were the only ones who appeared to be single.
Following weeks of speculation, the Vampire Diaries actress is now setting the record straight.

During an interview with TMZ at LAX, a reporter asked Dobrev, "It must be tough living things out in public," seemingly referring to her broken engagement with White.
"You know what? I'm excited for the future, and the only thing that's guaranteed is change," Dobrev responded.
The reported then asked the actress if there "was anything to that Zac Efron [rumor]," noting they saw photos of the two of them together.
Dobrev replied by smiling and shaking her head. When the reporter asked, "You're just mates?" Dobrev said, "Yeah."

On Thursday, Sept. 11, news broke that Dobrev and the professional snowboarder ended their engagement after five years together.
In an statement to People, an insider close to the couple said: “It was a mutual decision, and wasn’t an easy one, but it was made with love and a deep respect for one another.”
Dobrev and White began dating in 2019 before getting engaged in October 2024. The couple first met after being put in a group together at a seminar for Tony Robbins and moved in together shortly after when the COVID-19 pandemic started.
