Will Rebel Wilson be back on the big screen as Pitch Perfect's beloved Fat Amy sooner than we think?
Parade exclusively caught up with the 45-year-old actress while on set of her latest film, Girl Group, about a pop star who coaches a group of misfit teens for an audition — and while it's certainly giving Pitch Perfect vibes, fans may have to wait a little while longer to see the Barden Bellas reunite.
"Obviously, us girls talk all the time about it, and we've all said very, very publicly that we would like to do a fourth [Pitch Perfect] movie. We don't control it, though," says Wilson, who is writing, directing, producing and starring in Girl Group.

"Weirdly, the movie that I'm currently doing, Girl Group, is very Pitch Perfect-esque because I wanted to write and direct something that was very much in the vein of Pitch Perfect," the Chief Wellness Officer of the Noom wellness app continues continues. "Musical comedy, girl power, lots of brilliant musical routines, and we got the same music team as Pitch Perfect.
"So hopefully this will be the new evolution of Pitch Perfect for audiences around the world. I'm really loving working on that right now."

Wilson starred alongside Anna Kendrick,Brittany Snow and Hailee Steinfeld, among others, in the film franchise that debuted in September 2012 about an all-girl a cappella group. The sequel came out in 2015, and the third installment hit theaters in 2017.
The Bridesmaids actress, who shares 2-year-old daughter Royce Lillian with wife Ramona Agruma, also spoke with Parade about her successful health journey thanks to her partnership with weight-loss and wellness company Noom.
After dropping 80 pounds since the COVID-19 pandemic, Wilson has been focused on her overall health and wellness and has become an advocate for micro-dosing GLP1s.

"I learned a lot about myself and about a healthier way of of living," the Senior Year star explains. "I've been really keen to share it with people, especially things that don't cost any money. I have access to a lot of stuff being an actress, [and] a lot of people don't have that. Then I worked with Noom for my wedding. I went on the program for 10 weeks before my wedding last year when I was just feeling like a little bit out of shape and not feeling my best, and I wanted to look really vibrant and great for my wedding.
"So I worked with the Noom team for that and just really liked the whole holistic approach to health," Wilson continues. "Whether it's about the mental health side of things, [including] motivating yourself and [an] exercise regimen, and then also the medications that they now offer, I think it is really cool."
