Hilary Stott, who was traveling through ROC, said “I do respect some of these federal workers who work for our government who do decide to come in and work with faith that these kinds of disputes are what our government is about and that we’re supposed to negotiate our ways through problems. So, hopefully it won’t last too long, but I do think these workers have been through this many many times before and I do think they have faith our government will do the right thing, rise to the top and come to a compromise.”
Stott said she’s worried about her flight back home. The United States Travel Association says $1 billion a week will be lost on travel during a government shutdown, including travel to National Parks.
