In the Season 7 finale, which aired on Tuesday, Sept. 30, the ex-spouses met up at a hotel to discuss their divorce, which still hadn't been finalized.

"I would like for this to be done, and I would like for this to be wrapped up so we could both move on," Ethan told her after showing up two hours late to their scheduled meeting. "All that you had to do was just talk to my attorney, and I didn't know why you weren't."
"Yeah, well I was overseas when you guys were trying to contact me originally," Olivia told him.
To that, Ethan said, "Look, I am not arguing with you over the details of the divorce. All I'm saying is I have everything lined up. Let's do it and move on."
Olivia replied, "You made me wait a year and a half, you can at least be polite about asking," prompting her ex to insist that he had asked "politely in every way."
Additionally, Ethan asked Olivia to stop "slandering and disrespecting" his family in public, to which she bluntly said, "No." Ethan ultimately told her, "Have a nice life," before getting up from the table and walking away.

In an Instagram Stories Q&A on Wednesday, Oct. 1, Olivia answered a fan question asking why she agreed to meet with Ethan.
"A producer on the show who has a friendship with Ethan let me know that per their conversations with him, he had expressed a willingness to give me an apology and take accountability," she wrote. "That didn't sound like the Ethan I was married to, but I was not privy to how they spoke of me all season, so I ignored my gut and decided that a public apology would be really nice and agreed to a meeting."
Olivia continued, "When he walked in the gate and I could immediately tell that he was angry, I felt stupid for believing better and thinking that he'd apologize...but I learned yet another lesson—listen to my gut, and when I know who someone is, I don't need to keep giving them chances to hurt me."
To conclude her update, Olivia revealed, "I have no plans to ever talk to him again. Now that I've seen some of this season air, I can see how much he hates me, has no respect for me and plans to continue publicly disparaging me."
