A News10NBC viewer named Peter wrote in saying: “Last year, it was mentioned that a new discount grocery store will be opening by September of this year in Henrietta. Any updates on this?”
The company has more than 400 locations across the country, but Henrietta will not be added to that list. A company spokesperson told News10NBC’s Emily Putnam: “Grocery Outlet is always evaluating the opportunity to bring our stores to customers across the US. We don’t have any specific new store sites to confirm at this time.”
The company did not provide a reason for the change in plans.
The Town of Henrietta said the company pulled its application to move into the Jay Scutti Plaza about a month ago. The lot between the UPS Store and the Sketchers Outlet is still sitting empty.
News10NBC asked the Henrietta Town Supervisor’s Office if there were any future plans for that location. The Deputy Town Supervisor said they do not currently have any applications or plans in the works.
