Kody Brown is revealing wife Robyn Brown’s reaction to him leaving to compete on Special Forces.
The Sister Wives star, 56, opened up about the subject while chatting exclusively with Parade amid the Sept. 25 premiere of the reality competition’s fourth season. The series follows reality stars, athletes and celebrities as they participate in military-style training and challenges that push them to their limits.

“She was [nervous],” he says. “It was a challenge for her to watch me go.”
When asked what he thinks she was most nervous about, Kody tells Parade, “She just cares enough to wonder. She's like, 'Are you going to be safe?' Her job is to worry and so, she did. She did a really good job of it.”
As for what fans can expect from the TLC star during this season, Kody says he hopes America will see a different side of him compared to how he’s viewed on reality TV.
“In my normal life, I was running my mouth constantly,” he says. “Trying to constantly make friends, and trying to do it by talking. And even some people who are going, 'Hey, I wish you would just shut up.' And I’m just like, ‘Okay, it's just me.’ I was real the entire time.”
