The contract due to be awarded in 2026 includes the design, supply, installation, commissioning and servicing of over 500 short-distance transport devices to keep passengers and cargo moving across the terminal, piers, railway stations and interchange hub.
The tender also covers equipment in the air traffic control tower and other buildings in the airside and landside areas.
The winner will also be responsible for technical input for the execution designs, detailed workshop drawings and equipment mock-ups.
The winner will operate and maintain the system once CPK has opened.
Installation is due to be completed by November 2026. Further information on the project is available here.
CPK has previously launched tenders for delivery partner and a contractor to build the 450,000-sq-m terminal building, for which five teams are shortlisted.
Scheduled to open in 2032, the Foster + Partners and Buro Happold-designed airport will anchor the broader CPK project, which aims to overhaul transportation in Poland with the airport, highway upgrades and 2,000km of high-speed rail.
The goal is to make all major Polish cities no more than 2.5 hours’ travel time away from the new airport, to be sited some 50km west of Warsaw.
Construction of the CPK passenger terminal is due to begin in 2026 with foundation work and become operational by 2032.
The underground railway station is expected to be completed by 2029, with the first high-speed rail section connecting Warsaw and Łódź due to open in 2032.
