ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Three dogs were rescued by fire crews from a house fire on West Avenue off Buffalo Road Tuesday morning.
Lt. Jackie Sierra from the Rochester Fire Department says they first got a report of someone seeing smoke from the house at around 10:20 a.m.
Crews got there a minute later and immediately saw heavy smoke coming from the house and were able to put the fire out, according to Sierra.
Sierra says nobody was in the house, but they rescued three dogs from the house, stating one of them was very close to the fire.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and that there was only damage to the first floor of the house.
