Apple released the update, iOS 26.0.1, on Monday, following a short period of speculation that the update was in the works. These types of updates aren't necessarily unusual: Apple released iOS 18.0.1 three weeks after iOS 18 last year. The intention here is not to introduce new features or add changes; rather, you should notice bugs fixed and less instability.
