"I now have a new term which I just learned, I was the trad wife," she said while chatting on the recent podcast episode of Lipstick on the Rim. "I was the original f---ing trad wife, I was beautiful, I was very thin and shapely, I grew my own pigs and my own goats and my own chickens."
Ever-evolving and hip to current trends in business and in all things "home keeping" as she calls it, the 84-year old stated, "I really was that woman" when it came to relating to everyday wives making dinner and hosting gatherings. But thanks to her background in finance, she was able to market her skills into a successful catering business and eventually landed a branded deal at K-Mart.
"I was steeped in business from the stock market days, but I was so interested in home keeping, it was the easy joining of two very diverse fields," she said.

Martha Stewart's 'Trad Wife' Skills Came Early
The business mogul explained on the podcast — which is hosted by Molly Sims and Emese Gormley — that thanks to growing up as the second oldest of six siblings, she developed skills for taking care of a home and garden at an early age.
"I like things to be in order," she said. "You learn how to be orderly when you have five siblings. Everyone but my older brother was younger than I was and I was really like the second mother in the house."
"My father put me out in the garden when I was three and I learned lots of things," she added.
