ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Spectacular weather to start the new week with sunshine and warmth. Temps today will reach the upper 70s to around 80 degrees. Clear and comfortably cool tonight with another great day Tuesday with temps in the low 70s. Briefly cooler weather on the way for a couple days midweek before another warming trend arrives. Looking ahead to next weekend temps close to 80 degrees will be back in the forecast into the early part of next week.
Sunshine and dry weather will continue for the foreseeable future. We may have to wait until the middle of next week before any raindrops are back in the region. As the dry weather continues the drought conditions will continue to grow across the Rochester and Finger Lakes region. The month of September will likely come in as the second driest in Rochester weather history with just 0.30 inches of rain. The deficit since the beginning of June is approaching 5 inches at the Rochester Airport. The next official drought update will arrive Thursday morning and will most likely show worse conditions for much of the region. Stay tuned to News10NBC for the latest on when any rain may show up in the forecast.
