Lea Thompson, who is most well-known for starring in the Back to the Future franchise and Some Kind of Wonderful, among other memorable roles, shared some exciting news with fans on Sept. 28, revealing that her daughter, actress Zoey Deutch, is officially engaged to her longtime partner, Jimmy Tatro.
The mother of two shared the big news on Instagram, only a few hours after Deutch and Tatro shared the news themselves. Thompson posted a bunch of photos of the happy couple, starting with one of Deutch lovingly looking up at Tatro as she showed off her dazzling ring.
Thompson then included a couple of snaps of Deutch and Tatro from over the years, followed by the official photos the couple shared of their engagement during a beautiful sunset picnic on the beach.
"We are overjoyed to say that @zoeydeutch and @jimmy are engaged!" the 64-year-old declared.

She went on, sharing a strong endorsement of her soon-to-be son-in-law as she wrote, "Jimmy we love you so much and you guys are such a beautiful combination. Fans and friends rushed to share congratulations for Thompson, Deutch, and Tatro. There were also plenty of well-wishes to go around hours earlier, when Deutch and her fiancé first shared the news on social media, with Deutch writing, "three months engaged to the love of my life."
There were many famous names replying to the huge life update in the comments, with actresses Lili Reinhart and Sarah Hyland writing, "Congratulations, beautiful angel!! ❤️❤️," and "YESSSSS ????," respectively.
