Parker Knapp from Virginia Beach, Virginia, has announced his intention to swim and study at Texas A&M University beginning in the 2027-28 school year. He told SwimSwam:
“I am beyond excited and truly blessed to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Texas A&M University! I want to thank Coach Blaire and the entire Texas A&M staff for this incredible opportunity. I am also extremely grateful to my current coaches Richard, Danny, and Dorsey for guiding me and supporting me throughout this journey. Thank you to my family, teammates, and friends for always being by my side. I can’t wait to be part of the Aggie family-Gig ‘Em!”
Knapp is a junior at First Colonial High School. At the 2025 VHSL Class 5 State Championships last season, he earned a pair of PBs with his runner-up finishes in the 200 free (1:38.86) and 100 fly (49.39). He also swam splits of 21.04 and 46.01 on the FCHS freestyle relays.
Knapp trains year-round with the club team TIDE Swimming. He is a Summer Juniors qualifier in the 200 back and a Winter Juniors qualifier in the 100 back, 100 fly, and 200 fly. He had a big meet in March at the ISCA International Senior Cup, where he won the 200 back and 50 fly, was runner-up in the 200 free, 50 back, and 200 fly, and came in 4th in the 100 free, 9th in the 50 free, and 27th in the 50 breast. He left the meet with PBs in the 50 free (21.41), 100 free (46.20), 50 back (23.74), 200 back (1:46.84), 50 breast (28.53), 50 fly (22.59), and 200 fly (1:48.89).
This summer, he improved his LCM times in the 100 free (53.37), 200 free (1:56.59), 50 back (27.90), 100 back (58.58), and 100 fly (56.34) at Virginia Swimming’s Long Course Senior Championships. He wrapped up his 2025 long-course season at Summer Junior Nationals, taking home PBs in the 50 fly (25.70) and 200 fly (2:04.09).

Anderson started her second year as head coach of the Aggies in August.
Knapp’s older sister Sophia Knapp is a senior on the UVA women’s swimming and diving team.
