SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- An investigation is underway after a driver fatally crashed into a Mission District building Friday, said the San Francisco Police Department.
One critically injured, suspect arrested in shooting on steps of SF Main LibraryThe incident happened at 1:59 a.m. on the 2100 block of Harrison Street.
"Upon arrival, officers located the solo vehicle inside of the building," said SFPD in a statement to KRON4.
Despite life-saving measures from medics, police confirmed the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is not yet known what led to the crash or if drugs or alcohol were involved.
The San Francisco Fire Department and the Department of Building Inspections were also at the location to assess the structural damage, police said.
