ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Monroe Avenue between Shepard and Rosedale Streets has reopened after being closed due to a water main break earlier this month.
On Sept. 13, a pipe burst, which caused significant flooding and impacted local residents. Officials say the pipe that burst was installed in 1905.

Crews installed a new 36-inch pipe and tested it. Crews also are repairing damages to underground and above-ground infrastructure.

Access to the southbound part of Rosedale and Shepard Streets will be closed to pedestrians as crews continue repairs on the sidewalks. People will still be able to go into businesses in the area.
