HGTV star Jenny Marrs gave fans an update following the death of her husband and Fixer to Fabulous co-star, Dave Marrs' mother, Donna Marrs.
In a September 26 Instagram upload, Jenny gave insight into how her family, which includes the couple's five children, Nathan, Ben, Sylvie, Charlotte, and Luke, has been mourning Donna. featured several pictures and videos of the couple's loved ones taken over the past week.
In the caption of the post, Jenny stated that "Today marks one week without Dave’s mom on earth with us."
"As so many of you understand, grief is a strange thing. We have laughed and we have wept," wrote Jenny in the post's caption. "We have spent so much time with family and we have walked in the strange juxtaposition that life around us just keeps moving steadily along even though we aren’t ready to move with it. We feel like our feet our made of lead, stepping forward feels impossible. Yet, this is life. It’s still happening and we continue to show up for it and embrace every ounce of it because that is exactly how Donna lived."
She also said that she and Dave "hosted so many family and friends and felt so very loved and carried by tangible gifts of meals, flowers, cards and hugs" over the week. In addition, she said Charlotte, 11, "compete for the first time" with her horse, Sadie, which her late grandmother "would have LOVED to be there cheering her on for." Jenny, who resides in Bentonville, Arkansas, also said she took her sons "to Kansas City for their school trip." According to the HGTV personality, the Marrs family also managed to get "in one ride at the fair before the rain came," spent time with Donna's husband, and went fishing since Dave's mother's death.
"It’s been the weirdest week I can ever remember. As I’ve always said, joy and sorrow so often work alongside one another. This week is no exception," concluded Jenny.

Dave Marrs Announced the Passing of His Mother in a September 21 Instagram Upload
Dave let his fans know that his mother had died in a poignant Instagram post, uploaded on September 21. In the caption of the post, Dave shared that his mother "has lost her fight with dementia." However, he said he believes she "is now singing and dancing with angels."
"I feel so very sad and broken! Sad that I will no longer be able to hear her voice, see her smile, hug her body. I’m trying to find comfort in: Psalm 34:18 that says 'The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.' I just haven’t found that comfort yet, but I know in time, I will," said Dave in the post's caption. "But, I also feel blessed. Blessed that our entire immediate family was able to be together and say goodbye, something I know Mom would have loved. Blessed that my children had a great relationship with their Nana. Blessed that I had such a role model, as her, with me for 46 years. Blessed that we still have such an incredible Papa in my Dad."
He went on to say that he hopes his mother knows that she was "loved by everyone [she] met."
"You have run an incredible race that is now done. You can rejoice and dance, and sing, and see all of those you have lost and missed over your life," continued Dave.
