Marvin Harrison Jr.’s drops, inconsistencies continue to hurt Cardinals’ chances

GLENDALE — When it rains, it pours for Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr.

Two quarters into Thursday night’s matchup against the Seattle Seahawks, and the inconsistencies and drops continue to plague Harrison.

Looking nothing like the No. 4 overall pick that came to town in 2024, Harrison again impacted the Cardinals’ offense in the wrong way twice.

Both resulted in a pair of Seahawks interceptions.

The first big blemish came in the first quarter when quarterback Kyler Murray was trying to force the issue to Harrison in the middle of the field.

Throwing into double coverage with some added zip on it didn’t help by any means. The same can be said about Harrison cutting his route short and not at least providing some added traffic on the basepaths.

Wildly enough, the Cardinals ended up with the ball back after Seahawks safety Coby Bryant’s fumble and Trey Benson’s recovery.

The duo was clearly off kilter early on. Murray would zig, while Harrison would zag.

Then came the really bad look.

Facing a third-and-11 look on Seattle’s 33-yard line, Murray went back to Harrison to move the chains.

    And yet another drop followed.

Adding to insult to injury, Ernest Jones IV came down with the bobbled rock for Murray’s second interception of the evening.

There’s only one person to blame there, and it’s definitely not Murray.
