The second installment of the Chicago Bears injury report ahead of the team’s Week 4 game against the Las Vegas Raiders is OUT … and it comes with some good news.
Tight end Cole Kmet has been upgraded to a full participant on Thursday. Kmet was listed as a limited participant in practice on Wednesday’s Bears injury report because of a groin injury. So to see him go from “limited” to “full” on the participation report is the best news we could have received about the tight end’s health status going into this week’s game. Another full go on Friday would make me feel that much better about the situation.
Unfortunately, the same can’t be said about Kmet’s tight end partner. Rookie tight end Colston Loveland remains a non-participant in practice because of a hip issue.
Save for Cole Kmet’s upgrade, the rest of the Thursday injury report reads exactly as it did on Wednesday. Hopefully, some more encouraging news is on the horizon when the Bears injury report and game day designations drop on Friday.
