One of the U.S.'s fastest-growing low-cost airlines is about to make your next Caribbean vacation a whole lot more affordable.
Breeze Airways will begin seasonal service this winter to Cancún, Mexico; Montego Bay, Jamaica; and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, flying out of airports it already serves.
“We picked places that have all-inclusive resorts because people like to go on Saturday and fly back (the following) Saturday,” said Breeze Airways founder and CEO David Neeleman. With peak demand on Thursdays, Fridays, Sundays and Mondays on its current routes, he said he sees spare Saturday capacity as the perfect opening for weekend resort flights.
“We’re excited to be able to fly people out of the country,” he said, all with the "...same great service and the same great airplanes."
Breeze Airways began operations in 2021, and was created by Neeleman, who cofounded JetBlue. The affordable carrier serves underserved, smaller airports in the U.S. and provides low-cost, direct flights. It's become known for its "Nice, Nicer and Nicest" ticket options, which offer different levels of service, leg room and amenities like WiFi.
